The University of Regina’s Dr. Paul Schwann Applied Health and Research Centre is offering the #enrichneurorehab program beginning September 2019! 💪🏻🎉
Do you know someone living with a #neurological condition that is seeking improved quality of life? See below for details!
Information below is from the University of Regina‘s website:
“The Enrich Community Neurorehabilitation Program is an exercise and functional movement training program for individuals with neurological conditions. Our goal is to improve quality of life for individuals with neurological conditions through fitness and socialization. The activities may involve cardiovascular training, flexibility instruction (stretching, getting up and down on the floor), resistance training, core strengthening, balance/coordination training, and task-oriented movement training. Safety and modifications for various levels of fitness, mobility and disease progression are considered.
Anyone wishing to join the Enrich Community Neurorehabilitation Program will require an initial assessment prior to the class, to ensure the participant is suited to the program and assess the appropriate level they can work at. Assessments are scheduled through the Dr. Paul Schwann Center and cost $90 for a 90 minute assessment. Follow-up assessments after training will be optional.
Class Schedule: Monday, September 16th - Wednesday, December 11th from 2:30-4:00pm (24 classes total, no classes on statutory holidays) Cost $240+ GST. Registration in the program will include a free pass to the Fitness and Lifestyle Centre for the duration of the program.
